I have seen it done quite alot, I recently even attended a Phillip Bloom lecture to here more about it.
But now I have tried creating my first ever time lapse video from using still images
I shot it on the weekend, whilst at the Motorshow shooting a job for Toyota
Not bad for a first attempt but room for improvement, my attempt is below
Holden are always a big one for reveals of new concepts at the Motor show and this year was no exception.
This year we got the new Colorado Concept, which is actually the third version of this concept as we have already seen two other versions.
The first version at the 32ndBangkok International Motor Show in March
The second one was at the Buenos Aires International Auto Show in June
But this one is all Australian made and designed with head designer 26-year-old Monash graduate Ben Last working closely with GMs’ Colorado & Brazilian design studio with operations in Thailand and US to develop the final Australian show theme.
Looking forward now to see the final production version now, hopefully it won’t be to different to this concept
After the jump are two video’s that Holden showed at the Launch, both very cool and give us an insight into the how the concept was developed and built .
Also after the jump is the full press release from Holden.
Press kits are generally given out to the Motorshow attending press members at the end of each presentation, each year there is different types and styles.
Here is a collection from Friday’s media day
Bmw showed off at the Motorshow on Friday their BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept vehicle.
It was nice to see it in the flesh finally, after seeing images on line for a long period of time
I must admit it certainly looks better in the metal then it does in images, so if you are in Melbourne over the next week go check it out at the Motorshow.
When I got back to the office on Friday after the Media Morning, I noticed in among the many press releases to come through there was one from BMW in the UK.
It was promoting the fact that BMW are the offical vehicle supplier of the upcoming Mission Impossable 4 film, which is to be released at the end of 2011.
One of the cars mentioned in the release is the concept I had just been looking at the show, good timing by BMW to help leverage their involvement
Below is a trailer for the film, where you can see the some of the other BMW cars which appear in the film
Full Press Release from BMW after the jump, plus stills from the movie
As I write this I am standing on the Motorshow Floor waiting for the first reveal of the morning .
For coverage as each reveal happens follow my Photo Blog http://joelstrick.tumblr.com/
Then check back here tommorrow afternoon after for all the live reveal images in high res
I have been going through my old files recently and finally had a chance to go through images from the Melbourne Motorshow in 2008
Cars featured that year included the Holden EFIJY Concept (above), Subaru’s Blitzin (below) and the Lexus LFA concept at the bottom of the page
