Lamborghini V12 History Group Photo Shoot

Zagame Lamborghini Track Day - Phillip Island - September 2014

Track days are always fun to photograph, especially when there are exotic cars involved. So recently when I attended and covered the Zagame Automotive Lamborghini Melbourne track day at Phillip Island there was the opportunity to photograph an amazing Lamborghini family photo. In attendance on that day were four out of the five V12 models that Lamborghini has made over the years.

A very sad sight an abandoned classic Lotus Espirit

Abandoned Lotus Espirit - Third Generation 1980-1987

Over the years I have seen some amazing images of abandoned  exotic cars just left to rot, there was the XJ220 a Ferrari Mondial and even a Ferrari Enzo.

But who would have thought I would come across an abandoned sports cars in a side street of of Melbourne.

This was my surprising find a few weeks back whilst taking a different route home, a third generation Lotus Espirit.

GranTurismo Magazine The Best of European Motoring by Bryan Joslin — Kickstarter

Hi my name is Joel and I am addicted to car magazines.

There I said it, I admitted I have a problem.

I have been buying car magazines for 25+ years and it is my one vice in life.

I have seen many a magazine come and go, it is always sad to see one leave the newsagent shelves for the last time.

Well there is a new one about to start on the market.

Is this the new VF Holden Commodore SS ?

We have recently seen the release of the first images of the new VF Holden Commodore, which goes on sale later this year.

But so far we have really only seen images of the new Calais and Sportswagon.

So it was a surprise to find what looks like the new SS model parked by the side of the road in suburban Melbourne.

All the badges except for the front Holden badge were covered up, so hard to tell which model it may have been.

But the rear wing, SSV Redline wheels  and quad tail pipes are all give aways that this is actually the new VF SS Commodore.

It was very hard to see inside the car and from what I could see the interior was all covered with material

After spending 5 minutes having a good look over all of the car I have got to say that this is the sexiest Holden ever.

I can not wait to see and drive the full range, only a few months to wait, just need a release date now so I can start counting the sleeps.

Its been a very busy past few weeks… Sorry for the lack of blogging…

The past five weeks have been really busy with photography jobs, post production and my latest venture, writing.

So this has kept me away from blogging.

But don’t worry Il be back blogging soon with lots of stories to tell.

But in the meantime you can read my recent writing work on The Smoking Tire & Hooniverse websites, two great USA car culture sites.

Its been a busy month of shooting Motorsport

Its been over a month since I last blogged on here.

The reason for this is that there has been a lot going on shooting wise in particular.

In mid February I attended the V8 Supercars pre season test at Sandown Raceway.

The rest of my images are here from the day.

Then it was off the world famous Bathurst race track in NSW for the Bathurst 12hr Enduro race.

Next up was Rally Calder back in Melbourne, it was the first round of the Australian Rally Championship for 2012.

I was lucky enough to also capture a big accident during the event, an Aston Martin had a huge accident when it his a concrete barrier. The full series of images in the gallery below.

Then the final event was a wedding in the Hunter Valley.
