Mobil 1 Launches Ask for Mobil Promotion in partnership with HSV Racing


Mobil 1 in partnership with Mobil 1™ HSV Racing drivers James Courtney and Scott Pye recently launched the latest Mobil 1’s ‘Ask for Mobil’ consumer promotion at the iconic home of Mobil 1 HSV Racing, the Walkinshaw Production Facility. I was contracted to capture the day on camera.

The event was hosted by Mobil 1 HSV Racing ahead of this weekend’s Darwin Triple Crown Event, the ‘Ask for Mobil’ promotion gives Mobil 1 customers the chance to win $250,000 worth of prizes.

1st Prize is a HSV GTS Sport

2nd Prize is HSV Club Sport

3rd Prize is HSV Maloo Sport

Other prizes include $15,000 worth of Visa gift cards or instant Mobil 1 product.

As part of the event, media were given the opportunity to chat and interview both Mobil 1 HSV Racing Drivers, Walkinshaw Group CEO Tim Jackson and Acting General Manager of Motorsport, Matt Nilsson, media were then given a tour of the facility. Some of my photos from the day are below.

MOBIL 1 AND HSV RACING LAUNCH NEW ‘ASK FOR MOBIL’ CONSUMER PROMOTION

In the shadow of two Holden VF Commodore Supercars, Mobil 1TM HSV Racing drivers James Courtney and Scott Pye – alongside Walkinshaw Group CEO Tim Jackson – today officially launched Mobil 1’s new ‘Ask for Mobil’ consumer promotion at the iconic home of Mobil 1 HSV Racing, the Walkinshaw Production Facility.

Hosted by Mobil 1 HSV Racing ahead of next weekend’s Darwin Triple Crown, the launch event celebrated the commencement of the ‘Ask for Mobil’ promotion which offers Mobil 1 customers the chance to win $250,000 worth of prizes including one of three limited edition HSV vehicles, $15,000 worth of Visa gift cards or instant Mobil 1 product.

Walkinshaw Group CEO, Tim Jackson, said it was a great opportunity to showcase the team’s unique headquarters and demonstrate the magnificent work that takes place behind the scenes to ensure the car and the team performs to the their very best.

“Mobil 1 and Walkinshaw Racing have had a close relationship for 24 years. It is based on a long-term, collaborative affiliation between two iconic brands firmly committed to Australian motor racing and lubricant technological manufacturing. We are extremely proud to work with Mobil 1 and we look forward to continuing to grow and develop the relationship well into the future,” Mr Jackson said.

Mobil 1 Retail Manager, Christie Torwick, said the new ‘Ask for Mobil’ promotion really gives customers the chance to feel part of the Mobil 1 HSV family and she hoped customers would thoroughly embrace it in the coming months.
